Change is an inevitable part of life, and as entrepreneurs, we often find ourselves evolving alongside our businesses. We grow personally and professionally, constantly striving to align our values and priorities with the services we offer and the way we show up in the world. Today, I am thrilled to share my own journey of rebranding from Mama and Company to Impactful Mama—a transformation that represents a deeper connection to my purpose, my community, and the joy of making a positive impact.
My entrepreneurial journey began shortly after the birth of my daughter, Ada. Like many parents, the astronomical cost of childcare combined with a desire for something more led me to take a leap away from traditional employment. Little did I know that this leap would lead me down an unexpected path of supporting other parents as they grow their businesses too!
With the arrival of my second daughter, Ari, a dream quickly developed within me—a dream that involved a deeper connection to other entrepreneurial parents and the flexibility to bring work and home life together in an authentic way, and thus Mama and Company was also born.
Being a parent and business owner has taught me to focus on what truly matters and let go of the rest. It's not always easy, and there are certainly challenging moments. As entrepreneurs, we naturally evolve personally alongside our businesses. Sometimes this growth aligns beautifully, and sometimes it leads us to question our values and the services we offer. In my own entrepreneurial journey, I've created two businesses that connect with different audiences, yet I always felt a sense of disappointment in how I conveyed my work. This lack of clarity led to a reluctance to share my journey with friends and the wider world.
As I celebrate five years in business, I'm using this milestone as an opportunity to realign with the core of entrepreneurship for myself and my family. I want to create a brand that aligns with my values, reignites excitement, and pours out of me organically. Hence, the rebranding from Mama and Company to Impactful Mama—a transformation that brings together my original brand, Project Big Impact, and weaves a story of philanthropy, family, motherhood, and meaningful community connections into every aspect of my work.
Impactful Mama represents not just a professional identity, but a personal one as well. It reflects my journey as a mother, a business owner, and a woman who aspires to provide services and lead a company in this world. It embodies the belief that we were put here to do more than serve ourselves. We are meant to connect deeply, to teach our children the value of helping others, and to recognize that we are not meant to do this alone.
I am excited to embark on this journey of growth, authenticity, and community, and I invite you to join me as we embrace the power of Impactful Mama together.
